This abbey northwest of York was founded in 1132 and destroyed by Henry Viii in 1539 - there he goes again.
It's a natural heritage site including the water gardens that were added in the 1700s and a deer park.

They have a special program "It's a Monks Life" where dressed in robes kids are initiated in the life of a monk.
