SW Tasmania



The Southwest corner of Tasmania includes several significant parts – Mt Fields Park, Lyle Highway, and Wild Rivers. This includes some of the most remote sites in the world the Franklin wasn’t completely traveled until the 1970s.

The Franklin River remains after one of the early eco battles in the 70s to prevent the damming of the river. Tourism and Eco Tourism now make up Tasmania’s major industry.
